Lorient is interested in signing Nice's young French midfielder Gabin Bernardeau this summer. This potential transfer would be in the opposite direction of Laurent Abergel, who is expected to move to Nice from Lorient. Bernardeau, who joined Nice last summer from Le Mans where he was trained, is seeking more playing time. He was included in the squad 18 times but made only eight appearances in all competitions. The 20-year-old's contract with Nice is valid until June 2029. He has four caps and one goal for France's U20 team, and his market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €1.20m.
