Italian club Pisa and French side Nice are both interested in signing 26-year-old Croatian forward Franko Kovačević. His current club, Celje, is reportedly asking for a transfer fee of around 4 million euros for their top scorer. Pisa's interest is related to their significant problems with goalscoring this season. According to previous reports from Hungarian media, clubs including Ujpest, Gyor, and Ferencvaroš were interested in the player. Kovačević is not enthusiastic about moving to Hungary. It is not currently known if any concrete offers have been submitted for the forward. Kovačević, who joined Celje in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028, has scored 11 goals and provided 2 assists in 14 Prva Liga appearances this season. In January 2026, Celje reportedly set a benchmark asking price of approximately €3 million for Hungarian clubs. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt at €1.30m.
