Franculino Djú Transfer from Midtjylland to Tottenham Hotspur

A report from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport states that Tottenham are in potential competition with Roma to sign FC Midtjylland’s Franculino Dju. The same report indicates that Roma have been watching the forward for the last six months and saw him play in a clash with Midtjylland on Thursday night. The report also suggests Tottenham may have disrupted Roma’s efforts to complete a deal for Dju in the January window, and that the player could cost €30million (£26m / $34.6m). TEAMtalk reported in August that West Ham were also interested in him.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly seeking to sign Guinea-Bissau international Franculino Djú from FC Midtjylland to address their attacking issues, with Aston Villa and Newcastle also linked with the player. According to Corriere dello Sport via SportWitness, the North London club is now competing to sign the 21-year-old striker. AS Roma had monitored the player for six months but have apparently withdrawn their interest after his valuation increased. The Danish club valued Djú at €20 million last summer and is now asking for €30 million. Despite the price increase, Spurs are said to remain interested in signing him. The forward, who also holds Portuguese nationality, joined Midtjylland in July 2023 and has been in excellent form this season, with 14 goals and 3 assists in 15 Superliga appearances. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €13.00m.
