Werder Bremen are seeking a new goalkeeper from the second division and have made contact with Florian Kastenmeier. According to 'DeichStube', the initial exchange with the 28-year-old German's side has so far not been particularly successful. Kastenmeier has been the captain and goalkeeper at Fortuna Düsseldorf for years, having joined in July 2019, and his contract is expiring. He is planned to be the number two at Bremen, as a maximum of one of their current goalkeepers, Mio Backhaus and Karl Hein, is expected to remain at the club in the summer. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €1.20m.
