Local media reports that Filip Benković has been given permission to negotiate with the Chinese club Shandong Taishan. Chinese club Shandong Taishan has inquired about Filip Benković, a 28-year-old Croatian defender who might leave his current club, AIK. According to Swedish outlet Sportbladet, there is also interest from several other foreign clubs for the defender. Benković has reportedly left AIK's pre-season training camp in Spain. The club's head of recruitment, Miika Takkula, confirmed that the player received permission to visit another club. Takkula also added that this was all the information the club could provide at that time. The Croatian international has one cap for his country. He joined AIK in January 2025 and his contract runs until the end of December 2026. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.50m. In February 2026, reports suggested a potential transfer fee of approximately €1,000,000.
