Piast Gliwice is interested in signing Filip Bednarek, a 33-year-old Polish goalkeeper. The club is searching for a replacement for their first-choice goalkeeper, František Plach, who has been unable to play for several months with a serious injury, which has prompted the club to explore the market for a medical transfer. Bednarek, who joined Sparta Rotterdam after leaving Lech Poznań at the end of the previous season, is one of the candidates being considered by Piast. A decision on the matter has not yet been made. Bednarek has made no appearances for Sparta in the Eredivisie this season and has a contract until June 30, 2027.
