Millwall is expected to demand a club-record transfer fee if Aston Villa attempts to sign winger Femi Azeez this summer. The 24-year-old English-Spanish player was named in the Championship Team of the Season and is likely to be the subject of significant interest after his club failed to gain promotion, having finished third before losing to Hull City in the play-offs. Former Millwall figure Bryan King told Villa News that he believes any sale of Azeez would certainly be for a record amount. King suggested he would not sell the player for less than £25m and anticipates that multiple clubs could make bids as high as £30m, which he feels would not be a silly figure. He added that a transfer to Villa would be a good move for the talented winger and a financially beneficial outcome for the East London club. Aston Villa has been linked with Azeez in the past, and Millwall's failure to be promoted to the Premier League could provide an opportunity to complete a transfer. Azeez joined the club in August 2024, has a contract that runs until June 2028, and a current market value on Transfermarkt of €5.00m. Ipswich Town, AFC Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion are among several other clubs that have also been linked with the player.
