Fedor Chalov Transfer from PAOK to CSKA Moskva

According to Russian media, there is ongoing interest in the return of Fedor Chalov to CSKA Moscow, and contacts with the player's side have begun. Telegram channel 'Mash na Sporte' reports that negotiations with Chalov's representatives for his return to Russia are underway. A source close to the club states there are positive developments in the contacts. CSKA Moscow is strongly considering a loan, as it is viewed as a lower-risk financial option. While PAOK is reportedly open to Chalov leaving during the winter transfer window, the club emphasizes that so far there has been no official contact and no proposal has been made to them.

The press service of Greek club PAOK has denied information about negotiations regarding the transfer of forward Fyodor Chalov to CSKA. A representative of PAOK's press service told Sport24 that the club is not conducting these negotiations.

Sovetsky Sport reported that CSKA Moscow is considering Fedor Chalov of PAOK and is currently the leading contender for the player. In November, the possibility of loaning Chalov was considered, and CSKA's general director Roman Babayev had left open the possibility of a loan.

Numerous publications in the Russian press are discussing the possibility of Fedor Chalov returning to CSKA Moscow. Speaking to 'Sport-Express', CSKA Moscow General Director Roman Babaev stated that while it is not right to comment on names, Chalov could be an option that interests the club, although their list is extensive. He added that they have many names under observation and Chalov's case is not different from that of any other striker. Babaev also mentioned that due to difficulties in bringing in foreign players, they must consider all possibilities, including unconventional ones. CSKA Moscow is considering Chalov's case, but nothing official exists. PAOK has not begun the process of releasing the player as they have not secured the signing of another striker, which is a primary transfer target for January. Because the transfer window for Russian teams remains open after the end of January, no possibility can be excluded for the near future.

According to Russian journalist Ivan Karpov, both CSKA Moscow and Zenit Saint Petersburg have shown interest in acquiring 27-year-old Russian striker Fyodor Chalov. The renewed discussion about his potential return to Russia is linked to upcoming changes in the regulations regarding the number of foreign players, which is affecting the transfer planning of Russian clubs. Karpov also mentioned that the PAOK striker wishes to remain in Europe and is not currently seeking a return. Additionally, there is reportedly interest from unnamed Spanish teams considering a loan move in the upcoming January window. In response to the rumours, PAOK's press office told Match TV, according to Russian reports, that they have no information about interest from CSKA and stated that Fyodor is a regular member of their team. Chalov, who has 8 caps and 3 goals for Russia, joined the Greek club in August 2024 and is under contract until June 2027. This season, he has scored one goal in seven league appearances. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €7.50m.
