A report from Il Gazzettino states that Venezia is considering 29-year-old Italian Federico Baschirotto of Cremonese as an alternative defensive option. The club is also looking at other players currently under contract, such as Valentin Antov from Monza, for defensive reinforcements. Baschirotto's contract at Cremonese is valid until June 2028. Other clubs, including Udinese and Torino, have also been linked with the defender. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €3.50m.
