Fábio Silva Transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Betis

According to Marca, Betis is very interested in the potential transfer of Fábio Silva from Borussia Dortmund. The report states that Betis is closely monitoring the situation of the forward, who was transferred to the German club last summer for approximately 22.5 million euros. Fábio Silva has had little playing time in Germany, which could make a departure possible. While Betis is interested, any move would be conditional, as the club is only considering a transfer or a loan with a purchase option if the figures are substantially lower than what Dortmund paid.

Sport Bild reported that Fábio Silva told at least one teammate that something must urgently change, and that if it did not, he would seek a transfer. The report also stated that Betis Sevilla is ready to acquire him, and that Silva has reportedly already given his approval to the club.

Despite recent reports that Fábio Silva was close to moving to Betis Sevilla on loan, Sebastian Kehl has emphasized that the player will stay. Kehl stated that he does not want to let him go and questioned the reasoning for doing so.

Portuguese forward Fábio Silva's lack of consistent playing time at Borussia Dortmund has attracted interest from multiple clubs ahead of the January transfer window. The Spanish newspaper AS reports that both Real Betis and Sevilla have made moves for the 23-year-old and that they view the operation as complex. Sources close to the player confirm that a transfer during the next window will be difficult. Silva desires more minutes, potentially through a loan. Silva joined Dortmund in August 2025 and is under contract until 2030. His market value is €28.00m, according to Transfermarkt. This season, he has made seven Bundesliga appearances, providing two assists and scoring no goals. For Portugal's U21 team, he has scored 15 goals in 28 caps.
