According to Marca, Fábio Cardoso has an uncertain future at his club. The publication states that he has not trained with the rest of his teammates while his situation is being resolved. Cardoso is not in the plans of manager Luis García Plaza.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla is working to facilitate Fabio Cardoso's departure this summer and has asked Jorge Mendes to help remove the player from the team. Gestifute is expected to assist in finding a club for Cardoso.
