Ezri Konsa Transfer from Aston Villa to Tottenham Hotspur
Sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside that Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Ezri Konsa's situation closely. Tottenham want to strengthen their defensive depth, partly due to Cristian Romero’s inconsistent fitness record.
According to TBR, Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Ezri Konsa. Aston Villa want to keep the player and are protected by his contract, which runs until June 2028. However, Villa might need to sell Konsa because of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), and other clubs are consequently aiming to attract him. The report does not state Konsa’s price, although it is mentioned that other outlets have claimed he will cost £30.5million (€35m / $41m) or more to sign. TBR reporter Graeme Bailey said that Ezri Konsa’s name is mentioned frequently when talking to clubs about potential defensive options.
Tottenham and Man City are reportedly interested in signing 28-year-old Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, as both clubs are seeking to add defensive reinforcements. Konsa's consistent performances and his role within the England setup have attracted attention. According to Graeme Bailey, via TBR Football, Aston Villa does not have plans to sell Konsa but may have to consider a transfer if he does not sign a new contract before the next summer, as he has just over two years remaining on his current deal. Bailey also stated that Konsa is now one of England's top defenders and that some very large clubs are monitoring him. Liverpool also reportedly prepared an attempt to sign the player during the summer. The English international has 16 caps and 1 goal for his country and has made 7 appearances in the Premier League this season. His current market value is €35.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
