Ezequiel Cannavo, a 23-year-old right back with Argentinian and Italian citizenship, is very close to leaving Defensa y Justicia to join Racing. According to TyC Sports, the player is expected to undergo a medical examination today to join the squad of Gustavo Costas. Gustavo Costas had requested a right back to fill the spot left by Facundo Mura's departure to Inter Miami. Before pursuing Cannavo, Racing had also shown interest in other right backs, including Eros Mancuso, Martín Ortega, and Santiago Arias. While the conditions of his arrival at the Avellaneda club are still unknown, it is expected that Cannavo will become Racing's third reinforcement in the next few hours.
