Alexander Kanishev stated that for Russian goalkeeper Evgeny Latyshonok, 27, it would be better to leave Zenit because a goalkeeper needs to play. Kanishev said that Latyshonok is looking for some options and that his desire to leave is understandable if he does not see prospects for competition. Latyshonok joined Zenit in July 2024 and his contract runs until 2028. The goalkeeper, who has two caps for Russia, has made four appearances in the Premier Liga in the 2025/2026 season. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
