Enner Valencia, a 36-year-old Ecuadorian striker, has been offered to Talleres, where he could reunite with manager Jorge Sampaoli. Valencia is a free agent after his time at Pachuca and his participation in the World Cup. Sampaoli gave Valencia his professional debut at Emelec in 2010. The player recalled in August 2023 that Sampaoli, whom he described as very passionate, gave him his official debut against Newell's Old Boys. Sampaoli also previously acknowledged giving Valencia his debut at Emelec before his Sevilla team faced Fenerbahce in a 2022/23 Europa League match.
