Emmanuel Dennis Transfer to Legia Warszawa
During a search for a striker at the beginning of the year, Legia Warszawa held preliminary talks with Emmanuel Dennis, a former player of Watford and Nottingham Forest. According to Łukasz Olkowicz from 'Przegląd Sportowy Onet', the club's head of scouting at the time, Radosław Mozyrko, believed there was a chance for the transfer. Olkowicz also reported that coach Gonçalo Feio was frustrated with scouting for proposing players who were unattainable, citing Dennis as an example. The Portuguese coach and his staff analyzed the player at length and were reportedly impressed with his skills. A few days later, it became clear Legia could not sign the 28-year-old due to financial issues; his prior transfer to Nottingham Forest for nearly 15 million euros provided context for this. Mozyrko insisted a small chance had existed and that initial talks were held. Dennis moved to Blackburn Rovers on loan in February. The Nigerian forward has 8 caps and 1 goal for his country, and his current market value is listed at €2.00m by Transfermarkt.
