Górnik Zabrze has made an offer of around one million euro for Emile Witbooi, a 17-year-old South African attacking midfielder from the second-division club Cape Town City. This follows a previous bid of 800 thousand euro from the Polish club which was rejected about two weeks ago. Cape Town City values the South Africa U-17 international, who can also play as a left-winger, at 1.08 million euro. A source states that the club is making every effort to acquire Witbooi. Witbooi will turn 18 on Friday, formally enabling an international transfer. There is also significant interest in the player, with scouts from top leagues in Europe, the United States, and Africa having noted his name. The player himself has made moving abroad a priority. Witbooi joined his current club in August 2024 and has 9 caps and 3 goals for the South Africa U17 team.
