A deal may be funded by the departure of some fringe players, including the 28-year-old Danish striker Emil Riis. There is interest in the striker from elsewhere, but no exit deal has been agreed upon at present. Riis joined Bristol City in July 2025, and his contract runs until June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €6.00m.
