Botev Plovdiv has acquired 25-year-old Colombian winger Emerson Rodríguez on a six-month loan from Ludogorets. According to the club's owner, Iliyan Filipov, the move is intended to give the coach time to evaluate players before the club looks to sign a permanent winger in the summer. Rodríguez joined Ludogorets in January 2025 and his contract there runs until December 2027. In the current season, he has scored three goals and provided two assists in 16 appearances across Bulgaria's top two leagues. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.20m. Deportivo Cali has also been linked with the player.
