Dutch international Emmanuel Emegha, a 23-year-old centre-forward, could have left Chelsea at the end of the transfer window, but manager Xabi Alonso prevented this. There was some interest last week to loan Emegha from Chelsea, but for Alonso, letting the player go is not currently an option. It is not clear which clubs were interested in Emegha. The striker joined the club in July 2026 and his contract runs until 2033. He has been capped twice by the Netherlands and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €25.00m.
