Ashour's current club, Al Ahly, is reportedly more open to considering offers due to recent tensions with the player. Ashour has requested a salary increase that has not yet been resolved. In response to the interest, Ashour and his agent have asked for time to study the various proposals before deciding on his future. Ashour, who has 27 caps for Egypt, joined Al Ahly in July 2023 and is under contract with the club until June 30, 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.50m.
