Atlas has completed the transfer of Elías Montiel from Pachuca. According to information revealed by Carlos Ponce de León, the agreement between both institutions was finalized at a base figure of 12 million dollars in fixed payment, with an additional 3 million dollars in performance bonuses. RÉCORD had previously reported that the player had approved his transfer, but the high price at which Grupo Pachuca valued him was the only factor preventing the signing from being completed. Atlas’s new administration, under the command of Grupo PRODI, proceeded with the signing, and if Montiel meets his objectives, the transfer will end up with a total cost of 15 million dollars. Sources revealed to RÉCORD that Elías Montiel is unhappy with the role that Benjamín Mora has given him, and for that reason, the Mexican midfielder accepted the offer from Atlas as soon as it arrived.

Elías Montiel has approved a move to Atlas. The Pachuca board has set a minimum transfer price of 12 million dollars, according to information revealed by César Cuervo on the program Los Infiltrados de RÉCORD. The midfielder has accepted the terms to join Atlas, but negotiations have been halted by Pachuca's high economic demands. There is currently no signed agreement due to the high price set by Pachuca. Montiel's desire to leave is due to discontent with the tactical approach of coach Benjamín Mora, according to information collected by RÉCORD. Following a difficult year marked by severe injuries, Montiel views Atlas as a suitable place to recover his level. If an agreement is not reached before the registration deadline of September 9 at 23:59, Montiel will have to remain with Pachuca for at least another semester.
