Golazzo Sports reported that Górnik Zabrze considered acquiring Elias Jelert from Galatasaray. However, Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl specified that the club does not have sufficient financial resources for a temporary transfer. Włodarczyk stated he was told that they could not afford the player and that the matter was rather detached from reality. He explained that even in the case of a loan, the contract is too "heavy" for a deal to be possible. Jelert's basic salary in Istanbul is approximately 1.4 million euros per season.
