Newly promoted Serie B club Ascoli is targeting Spezia-owned Italian centre-forward Edoardo Soleri, 28, to reinforce their attack and is currently considered the club closest to signing him. According to a report from Calciospezia.it, Ascoli is interested in the player, although this interest has not yet resulted in any formal contact. The situation could, however, develop in the coming weeks. Another interested Serie B club, Vicenza, had previously been linked with Soleri but is now reportedly no longer in contention to sign him as they are evaluating other profiles. Soleri's contract with Spezia runs until June 30, 2027, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €300k. He has also been capped twice for the Italy U20 national team.
