According to Tuttomercato, Torino holds an interest in signing Empoli's young Italian midfielder, Edoardo Biondini. Torino is interested in the 2009-born midfielder from Empoli, whose performances as a starter in Serie B have attracted their attention. The club's director, Petrachi, is leading the interest. The club had previously attempted to sign the 17-year-old last summer and is now prepared to make another attempt in January. The proposed plan involves acquiring Biondini on a permanent deal during the winter window and then loaning him back to Empoli for the remainder of the season. It is not yet certain how concrete this possibility is. In response to transfer interest, Empoli recently signed the player to a new professional contract valid until June 30, 2029. Biondini has two caps for the Italy U18 national team and his current Transfermarkt market value is €8.00m.
