Sportske Novosti has reported on Dominik Jankov's transfer to Rijeka and his future aspirations. Known also as Dominic Iankov, Jankov has recently joined Rijeka and was officially presented on Saturday. He conveyed his happiness about the move, noting the welcoming atmosphere and the high standards of Croatian football. Jankov has signed a three-year contract, becoming Rijeka's second addition of the summer. Prior to this, he played for Montreal in the MLS, where his playing time was limited. The transfer to Rijeka is viewed as an opportunity for him to rejuvenate his career and possibly make a return to the Bulgarian national team.

Dominik Yankov, who has been in Rijeka's plans for two years, was recently targeted by Hajduk Split in an attempt to interrupt the transfer. However, Rijeka has secured the transfer. Sports director Darko Raić Sudar announced the transfer was completed, pending a medical examination and formal signing, which were delayed due to holidays, and are now scheduled for Monday.

Dominik Yankov, a 24-year-old central offensive midfielder, is currently under contract with CF Montreal. Yankov, who was born in Canada and has earned 17 caps for the Bulgarian national team, transitioned from the Genesis Football Academy in Canada to Sunderland in England at the age of 13. He later returned to Bulgaria to join Ludogorets before eventually moving to CF Montreal for just under two million euros. Now, Rijeka, recognized for revitalizing players' careers, is poised to offer him a fresh start in Europe, with the aim of completing the transfer soon.
