Calixte Paul Ligue has completed a loan move to Hrvatski nogometni klub Rijeka from Venezia. The agreement is for a loan until the end of the season and includes an option to buy. Ligue arrived in Rijeka on Monday, where he completed a medical examination and signed a contract.

According to Tuttomercato, Venezia has officially announced an agreement with Hrvatski Nogometni Klub Rijeka for the transfer of defender Calixte Paul “Junior” Ligue. The transfer is temporary with an option to buy and lasts until the end of the 2026/27 season.

According to Sportske Novosti, Calixte Paul Ligue has joined Rijeka from Venezia on loan until the end of the season, with an option for Rijeka to buy him. Rijeka announced that Ligue is a 21-year-old left back who previously played for Zürich and Switzerland's youth national teams. Ligue has conveyed that he is excited about joining Rijeka and mentioned that his mentality is consistent with the club's ambition to win every match.

Junior Ligue, a 21-year-old left back of Swiss and Ivorian nationality who can also play as a center back, is joining Rijeka on loan from Venezia. The Switzerland U-21 international, who has two caps, previously played for Zürich's youth team before moving to Venezia last winter and then spending half a season on loan at Mantova. The deal includes an option for Rijeka to purchase the player at the end of the season. Rijeka's president, Damir Mišković, expressed hope that the deal would be finalized, while acknowledging that the agreement is not definitive until it has been signed. The player's value is 2.5 million euros. His contract with Venezia runs until June 30, 2028.
