Slovenian goalkeeper Domen Gril, aged 25, has transferred from Portugal's Académico Viseu to Piast Gliwice, where he will replace the departing Dominik Holec. Gril's contract with the Polish club is until June 30, 2029, and contains an option to extend. The transfer followed a season in which he played 26 matches, kept 14 clean sheets, and Académico Viseu achieved promotion to Liga Portugal. He joined Académico Viseu in July 2022, making a total of 137 appearances for the club. Before his time in Portugal, Gril played for NK Bravo in Slovenia and the reserves of German club Hoffenheim. The goalkeeper has been capped twice for Slovenia at the U21 level. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €500k.
