The player's preference for a return to Italy is considered to have been a significant factor in the negotiations. Spence, who joined Tottenham in July 2022, has 14 caps for England and a current market value of €40.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In addition to the clubs mentioned, Roma and Juventus have also shown interest. Tottenham's asking price for the player was reported to be in the range of €35-47 million during the summer of 2026.
