Lazio is preparing for the potential sale of Romagnoli and is evaluating Union Berlin's Diogo Leite, a 26-year-old Portuguese Centre-Back, as a possible replacement. Leite is one of two names being considered for the role, along with Luca Ranieri of Fiorentina. The defender, who joined his current club in July 2023, has been a target for clubs in Italy, as several Serie A teams, including Milan, Bologna and Fiorentina, have previously pursued him without success. Leite's contract with the German side runs until June 2026, his current Transfermarkt market value is €12.00m, and he has made 14 appearances in the Bundesliga this season.
