Dimitris Giannoulis Transfer from FC Augsburg to Hull City

1h ago

Hull City, a team recently promoted to the Premier League, has in recent days officially approached both Augsburg and the management of 30-year-old Greek left-back Dimitris Giannoulis to declare their interest. Giannoulis is the primary choice of the club's Bosnian coach, Sergej Jakirovic. Following interest from both Hull and Coventry, Augsburg has raised its asking price for the player to €5,000,000. According to reports from March and April 2026, Augsburg's asking price for the summer had been set at around €3 million. However, Giannoulis is expected to turn down Hull City for the same reason he recently rejected Coventry, stating he does not wish to play in the Premier League again, although so far he has only explicitly declined Coventry. The Greek international, who has 34 caps for his country, made 27 appearances in the Bundesliga in the 2025/2026 season, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists.
