Independiente confirmed the transfer of Diego Tarzia to Vitória of Brazil. The operation is structured in two stages: first, 10 percent of the player's rights were sold for 200,000 net dollars, and a mandatory purchase agreement was made for the remaining 70 percent for 2.3 million net dollars. Tarzia said goodbye to the institution with an emotional message.

According to TYC, a transfer agreement involving Diego Tarzia and Vitória stipulates that Vitória will buy 5% of Diego Tarzia's rights for 200,000 USD for a year and a half. The agreement includes an obligation to purchase a further 75% for 2.6 million USD in the future. If Vitória does not execute the obligation, Independiente will return the 5% and Tarzia will be required to return to Avellaneda. Independiente will retain 20% of the player's rights.

Vitória from Brazil has expressed interest in Diego Tarzia, a 22-year-old Argentinian winger from Independiente, but no official proposal has been received in Avellaneda. An unofficial figure of approximately 2.8 million dollars for 80% of the player's transfer rights is being discussed. If an offer is formalized on those terms, Independiente's board would be willing to proceed with the sale, partly because the player is not currently considered a key part of the team's plans. Tarzia has a contract with Independiente until December 31, 2027, and his contract includes a release clause of 20 million euros. Vitória's interest is currently in a preliminary stage, and the Argentine club hopes the inquiry will develop into a concrete offer. Tarzia joined Independiente in January 2024 and has made one appearance in the 2025/2026 Torneo Apertura season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.20m. San Lorenzo has also been linked with the player.
