Manchester United's interest in RB Leipzig captain David Raum presents a significant problem for Juventus. David Raum's current contract is set to expire next year, and he has admitted that no progress has been made on an agreement for a new contract. Raum has also indicated that he has been flattered by some of the approaches he has received. This summer, Raum had a release clause of approximately €40 million, and Man Utd were frequently linked with him during their search for a new left-back. Raum could become an option again for the Old Trafford outfit if he becomes available on a free transfer. The club is described as Juventus' "main competition" for the signing of the 39-cap international.
