David Herold Transfer from Karlsruher SC to TSG Hoffenheim
Sky has reported that Karlsruher SC has raised the asking price for their 22-year-old German defender David Herold to over six million euros, an increase from the earlier quoted two million euros. Herold is garnering interest particularly within the Bundesliga, with TSG Hoffenheim expressing interest. Besides TSG Hoffenheim, FC Augsburg and 1. FC Heidenheim are also reportedly eager to acquire the Karlsruher standout, who has played the entire 90 minutes in the season's first two matches. Should Herold's transfer be completed at this price, it would exceed the club's previous record sale of Max Weiß, who transferred to FC Burnley for four million euros earlier this summer. Transfermarkt estimates the player's current market value to be €1.50 million.
