It has been suggested that David Datro Fofana could be used as part of a swap deal involving Rennes' promising young player, Jeremy Jacquet.

It is reported that Celtic are again interested in Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana. The London club recalled the Ivorian international from a loan with Fatih Karagümrük, and he almost joined Celtic last summer. Fofana could be included in a potential deal for a Rennes defender, while Leicester City and Leeds United have also been linked with the striker.
