It is reported that Celtic are again interested in David Datro Fofana, a Chelsea forward and Ivorian international. The London club recalled Fofana from a loan with Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey, where he had scored 6 goals in 13 league appearances. Fofana, who is 23 years old and has a contract until June 2029, almost joined Celtic last summer.
He could be included in a potential deal for Chelsea to acquire Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet. Other clubs, such as Leicester City and Leeds United, have also recently been linked with the striker. His current market value is €5.00m, according to Transfermarkt. It is reported that Chelsea's asking price for a permanent transfer in January 2026 is £10 million, which is the same fee the club paid to sign him in January 2023.
