David Čolina Transfer from FC Augsburg to Osijek

Sportske Novosti has reported on the ongoing negotiations between Osijek and Augsburg regarding the loan transfer of David Čolina. Osijek is in discussions with Augsburg to secure David Čolina on a loan deal until the end of the season, with an option to purchase him next summer. The negotiations are primarily focused on determining the price at which Osijek could acquire Čolina. Should the talks not reach a satisfactory conclusion by mid-week, Osijek plans to consider other options. Čolina, who was transferred to Monaco for 1.3 million euros in 2018 and subsequently moved to Augsburg in January 2023 for 650,000 euros, has been on loan at Vejle for the past year and a half.

Osijek's sporting director Alen Petrović has expressed interest in acquiring David Čolina, a left-back currently playing for Augsburg. The transfer discussions are still in their preliminary phase, and it has been suggested that negotiating with Augsburg will require patience and diplomatic skills. Čolina, who had a previous loan spell at Vejle in Denmark, has returned to Augsburg, but his future at the club appears to be uncertain. Osijek views this as an opportunity to secure a transfer, particularly following an injury to their player Roko Jurišić. Čolina, who is approaching his 25th birthday, has a history with Dinamo and formerly played for Hajduk, where he made over one hundred appearances. He joined Augsburg two years ago for a fee of 650,000 euros but has found it challenging to secure regular playing time in the Bundesliga. Osijek is eager to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season and has identified Čolina as a potential addition, with coach Rožman keen to enhance the team with Bundesliga experience.
