Krone.at reported that Lazio was interested in David Alaba, but that the Serie A club has apparently chosen an alternative.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are considering a surprising move for former Real Madrid defender David Alaba. David Alaba is a free agent after leaving Los Blancos earlier this summer and has yet to find a new club. Lazio are actively considering moving for Alaba.

Tuttomercato reports that Lazio will no longer be pursuing David Alaba. The player had been linked to the club as a potential signing.

According to Il Messaggero, David Alaba is the Romans’ number one preferred candidate for the signing of a clubless player. The report states the Viennese player is at the top of their list. After his departure from Real Madrid, Alaba is still without a club. Sporting director Angelo Fabiani hinted that the market for clubless players is still open and that he preferred to leave some spots open in order to monitor such situations.
