According to TUDN, Club America is no longer prioritising David Alaba because the club is signing Santiago Ramos Mingo. Lazio Roma and Manchester United are also no longer considered as options for David Alaba.

Club America is currently examining the possibility of a transfer for David Alaba, according to transfer expert Matteo Moretto. Concrete negotiations have not yet taken place.

As the Liga MX transfer window approaches its conclusion, it is reported that América is considering 34-year-old David Alaba as a potential signing to complete its squad for the Apertura 2026. The Austrian defender is one of the alternatives the club is considering to replace Sebastián Cáceres following his departure. Alaba is not currently contracted to a team, which means his arrival would not represent a significant expense for the club. According to Transfermarkt, the defender has 117 caps and 15 goals for Austria, and his current market value is €3.00m. He has also recently been linked with clubs including Manchester United and Lazio.
