Rubin announced on their Telegram channel a contract extension with Austrian forward Dardan Shabanhaxhaj until 2030. The 24-year-old footballer's previous employment agreement was valid until the summer of 2028. Shabanhaxhaj, who joined Rubin Kazan in January 2024, has scored one goal and provided one assist in 16 appearances in the 2025/2026 Premier Liga season. He has two caps for the Austria U21 national team, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €1.20m.
