John Textor was negotiating the transfer of Danilo to Nottingham Forest directly with the club's owner, Evangelos Marinakis, and they had progressed to an agreed price of 19 million euros. The negotiation is currently interrupted because of a judicial decision from a Rio de Janeiro court which prohibits the sale of Botafogo players. Nottingham Forest can only sign players until the following Monday, when the transfer window in England closes.
