Slovenian winger Danijel Šturm joined Slavia Praha from Sigma Olomouc midweek.

Danijel Šturm is leaving Sigma Olomouc after half a year and will join Slavia Praha. The transfer fee is expected to be more than one hundred million Czech crowns. Deník reported that Sigma is expected to receive up to five million euro including bonuses. Sigma originally paid approximately 1.9 million euro for Šturm. Šturm stated that it had always been his dream to play in the Champions League and thanked Sigma for allowing him to leave. Ondřej Navrátil, chairman of the board, said that Šturm requested to leave to pursue this exceptional opportunity and that forcing him to stay would not have been beneficial for either party. Navrátil described the deal as a record transfer within the Czech league.

Slovenian international Danijel Šturm is awaiting a transfer to Slavia Praha after a successful period with Sigma. The deal could potentially reach five million euros and would set a new Czech transfer record.
