Daniel Graovac Transfer from CFR Cluj to FCSB

Sport.ro has reported on the signing of Bosnian defender Daniel Graovac by FCSB, the reigning champions of Romania. Daniel Graovac joined FCSB after declining a contract extension with CFR Cluj. Gigi Becali, the club's owner, was the one who confirmed the transfer. The negotiations were handled by FCSB's management, and it was Risto Radunovic, a Montenegrin defender at FCSB, who suggested Graovac for the team. Graovac was available for transfer as his contract with CFR Cluj had ended, where he was not seen as a reserve, even though he had missed three months due to injury. Having played in Turkey, he is appreciated for his versatility on the field. The reported salary was approximately 15,000 euros, with an installation bonus possibly around 50,000 euros, as approved by Gigi Becali.

Daniel Graovac, a central defender from CFR Cluj, has signed with FCSB. The 31-year-old Bosnian player decided against extending his contract with CFR Cluj and opted to join the Romanian champions. Gigi Becali confirmed the transfer, mentioning that Graovac is the first acquisition and more signings are expected. The player's market value is estimated to be 400,000 euros according to transfermarkt.com. Graovac, who has the flexibility to play as a right back, joins FCSB at a critical time when the team is in urgent need of defensive solutions due to a serious injury to Joyskim Dawa, which will keep him out for a prolonged period. Graovac has participated in 23 matches this season, scoring once and providing an assist, and was even deployed as a right back by Dan Petrescu during the Romanian Cup final, which CFR Cluj won against Hermannstadt with a scoreline of 3-2.
