Dango Ouattara Transfer from AFC Bournemouth to Brentford

SkySports has reported that Brentford has reached an agreement to sign Dango Ouattara. The club has agreed on a club-record deal worth £42 million to acquire the winger from Bournemouth. The negotiations between the two clubs have been intense over the last 72 hours concerning the 23-year-old player. Although Bournemouth were initially hesitant to sell, Ouattara's desire to leave left the Cherries with no choice but to agree to a sale at a price they deemed to be fair market value, which includes add-ons. This transfer will break Brentford's previous club-record deal of £30 million, which was set when they signed striker Igor Thiago from Club Bruges last summer. The versatile international from Burkina Faso still had three years remaining on his contract and is expected to undergo a medical examination within the next 24 hours. Ouattara, who joined Bournemouth from Lorient in January 2023, has made 88 appearances and scored 11 goals. Meanwhile, Bournemouth is considering replacements and has identified Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen as a primary target.
