According to sources close to the player, 29-year-old Ghanaian international Daniel Agyei and Kocaelispor management are said to have reached an agreement on a three-year contract extension. The winger's current contract with the team, which is currently 7th-placed in the Turkish Süper Lig, runs until June 2027. For months, the two parties had been in negotiations that were at an advanced stage but were unable to reach an agreement on the player’s new salary. Under the next contract, the London native is expected to receive an annual amount of one million euros, compared with his current 730,008 euros. Agyei, who has one cap for Ghana, joined Kocaelispor in July 2025 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.20m.
