Daizen Maeda Transfer from Celtic to Liverpool
Liverpool is interested in a shock move for Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda. A report claims that a host of big Premier League clubs have scouted Maeda this year. Liverpool is named as one of the suitors for the winger, but a move to Liverpool would certainly come as a huge shock given his age. Celtic could demand as much as €30 million, which would make him relatively affordable for an elite side, but it would be a significant overpayment for a player with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just €11.1m.
Liverpool is keen on signing Daizen Maeda at the end of the season. The player has expressed uncertainty about his long-term future at Celtic and has been in exceptional form, scoring 33 goals and assisting 11 times in all competitions this season. Liverpool needs more depth in the wide areas, and Maeda could be an ideal acquisition. Liverpool's Wataru Endo might play a role in convincing Maeda to move to Anfield.
Liverpool, along with other clubs, have shown interest in Daizen Maeda. The player is a top scorer and a joint top assist-maker in the Scottish Premiership. He is available for a transfer fee of £25m. Despite the interest, Maeda has expressed happiness at Celtic and is not pushing for a move.
