Following an injury to striker Daniel Fila, Avellino is seeking a replacement. The club is targeting several players, including 23-year-old Albanian international Cristian Shpendi of Cesena, who is considered a difficult target to acquire. Other players, such as Gabriele Artistico of Lazio, are also reportedly under consideration. Shpendi, who joined Cesena in July 2021, has a contract that runs until 2028 and a current market value of €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Palermo has also been recently linked with the striker. According to recent reports from August 2026, Cesena requires a minimum offer of €3.5 million.
