Sport.ro reported that Cristian Perea was registered by CFR Cluj as a new player during the final hours of the transfer window. The transfer was officially completed prior to FIFA imposing a new transfer ban on the club. The club registered a total of 10 new players within a short period.

CFR Cluj announced on its official channels the signing of 21-year-old Cristian Perea from Real Madrid. The definitive agreement between the Romanian club and the Italo-Colombian midfielder was formalized and signed at 23:57, three minutes before the summer transfer window in Romania officially closed. The agreement includes a clause that grants Real Madrid 50% of any future resale of Cristian Perea's registration rights.

Cristian Perea developed at Real Madrid's academy and played for the club's youth teams, where he was the captain. Marius Șumudică stated that Cristian Perea had the opportunity to train with Real Madrid's first team and played as number 7 at Real Madrid and as a right-sided defender for the national team. Marius Șumudică described the transfer to CFR Cluj as happening three minutes before the transfer window closed and praised Marian Copilu and Ciprian Deac for their role in the transfer.

Cristian Perea, a 21-year-old defensive midfielder with both Spanish and Colombian citizenship, has transferred permanently to CFR Cluj from Real Madrid, where he was in the academy for nine years. The contract signing occurred at 23:57, three minutes before the transfer window in Romania concluded. The transfer was mediated by Marian Copilu, a former CFR official, who was important for the completion of the deal. The agreement specifies that CFR Cluj holds 50% of the player's federative rights, with Real Madrid retaining the remaining 50%. This means that the proceeds from any potential future transfer will be shared equally between the clubs. Perea has 4 caps for the Spain U20 national team, and his market value is currently listed by Transfermarkt as €500k.
