Cody Drameh, who could have left Hull City in the summer, had appeared to be leaving in the winter window after manager Sergej Jakirovic suggested the defender wanted to move. Hull City were preparing to permit Drameh's departure to create squad space, as it was believed he desired regular football after losing his position to Lewie Coyle. However, after discussions with his manager, Drameh has chosen to stay for the time being. A move is still a possibility, but at present, Jakirovic is planning to have him in the squad for the remainder of the season. Jakirovic stated that any player can leave, but the club must receive an offer because they are under contract, noting Drameh has 18 months left. He added that if a club wants to buy him, they have no objection as that is the nature of the market.

It is expected that Drameh will leave the club in the coming days, which will enable City to sign goalkeeper Seny Dieng.
