Clayton admitted that Brazil is a country he loves and where he was born. He said he wants to bring happiness to Brazilian fans, be able to represent a giant club, score goals and demonstrate his ability. Clayton stated that he does not have a specific club, adding that he has a desire to score goals in the Brazilian championship and win titles before he ends his career.

Clayton stated that there were proposals, but that it was not the best for the club, for him, and for his family. He said he feels very good in Portugal and that the club lets him be comfortable and display his football. He admitted receiving proposals to leave in the summer.
